No. 16 Rams cruise to 74-54 rout of San Mateo

SAN FRANCISCO — The City College of San Francisco Rams won their fifth straight game on Wednesday night, defeating the College of San Mateo Bulldogs by a final score of 74-54 in a Coast Conference North Division contest at home. The Rams have won nine of their last 10 games to improve to 17-4 overall and 3-1 in the Coast North.

CCSF jumped out to an early lead behind sharp shooting and strong rebounding, building a 22-13 advantage after the first quarter and maintaining control through the second half. The Rams outpaced San Mateo 26-7 in the fourth to seal the decisive victory.

Leading the charge for the Rams was June Lumumba, who posted a game-high 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double. Caelan De Vera added 13 points, while Alexis Cornejo chipped in with 10 points to round out the Rams' balanced scoring attack. 

The Rams are back in action next Wednesday (Feb. 4) when they travel to Skyline College for a 5 p.m. Coast Conference North Division game.
