Fatima Waldo Garcia enters her first season on the coaching staff of the City College of San Francisco women’s soccer program, bringing a strong background as both a collegiate student-athlete and youth coach. A former CCSF standout and current Women’s Premier Soccer League player, Garcia is committed to helping student-athletes maximize their potential both on and off the field while contributing to the Rams’ tradition of excellence.
Garcia began her collegiate career at University of San Francisco before transferring to CCSF, where she quickly emerged as a leader within the Rams program. During the 2023 season, she served as team co-captain and earned First Team All Coast-North Conference honors, helping lead CCSF to one of the most successful seasons in program history. Her leadership, competitive spirit, and commitment to team culture made her an integral part of the Rams’ success.
Following her time at CCSF, Garcia continued her collegiate career at Dominican University of California, where she competed for the women’s soccer program while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In recognition of her achievements in both academics and athletics, she was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society.
In addition to her collegiate accomplishments, Garcia has competed in the Women’s Premier Soccer League with the San Francisco Nighthawks. Her performance during the 2024 season earned her selection to the WPSL Pacific North Conference Best XI, recognizing her as one of the top players in the conference.
Garcia’s coaching experience includes roles with several respected youth soccer organizations throughout the Bay Area. She has coached with Marin FC, SF Elite Academy, and San Marin High School. She will continue her coaching career with Peninsula Youth Soccer Club, where she will further develop young players in one of Northern California’s premier youth soccer environments.
Garcia’s experiences as a high-level player, team captain, and youth coach provide her with a unique perspective in player development and mentorship. Her passion for the game, commitment to education, and dedication to helping student-athletes succeed make her a valuable addition to the CCSF women’s soccer coaching staff.
A Bay Area native, Garcia remains actively involved in the local soccer community through both coaching and playing, serving as a positive role model for the next generation of student-athletes.
