VENTURA – The 2025 City College of San Francisco women's soccer season got off to an impressive start as the Rams cruised to a 3-0 shutout victory on Thursday night at Ventura College to open the New Balance Community College Showcase.

CCSF held a 1-0 lead at halftime after a goal in the 27th minute. The Rams also found the back of the net in the 50th and 73rd minutes, both on transition scores.

Knocking in goals for the Rams were sophomore Nelzy Dominguez, sophomore Anahi Gomez, and freshman Chemnui Simpson. Sophomore Bailey Perales recorded two saves in goal on her way to earning the shutout.

CCSF will take a day off before returning to the pitch for its New Balance Community College Showcase finale on Saturday (Aug. 30) when the Rams are set to take on Santa Barbara City College at 12 pm.
