Rams play Napa Valley to 1-1 draw

SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco and Napa Valley College battled to a 1-1 draw in a tightly-contested defensive non-conference game on Friday at CCSF.

CCSF landed six shots on goal in the contest with just one finding the back of the net, a goal by Antonin Lesperance in the 29th minute that gave the Rams a 1-0 lead.

It stayed that way all the way until the 80th minute when Napa Valley finally broke through with the equalizer.

Goalkeeper Jesper Skoglund posted a pair of saves for the Rams in the tie.

CCSF moved to 1-0-1 overall and returns to action on Wednesday (Sep. 10) when the Rams travel to Lake Tahoe to take on Feather River College in a 5:30 p.m. non-conference game.
