3C2A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS BRACKET

SAN FRANCISCO – Top-seeded City College of San Francisco continued its dominant run through the postseason. The defending state champions punched their ticket to the state tournament thanks to an 84-59 rout of No. 9 Columbia College on Saturday night at Brad Duggan Court in a regional final game of the Northern California Playoffs.

The Rams set the tone early, surging out to an 8-0 lead to open the game. The Claim Jumpers battled back, tying up the contest at 13-13 at the 13:33 mark. But CCSF took over from that point and went on to outscore Columbia 19-5 over the next 10 minutes to take a commanding 32-18 advantage. The Rams led 43-23 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way for the victory.

With the win, CCSF improved to 29-1 overall. The Rams have won now 18 straight games and finished a perfect 13-0 at home this season.

The Rams return to the 3C2A State Championships for the 10th time over the last 11 seasons and will begin their state title defense on Friday (March 13) at 5 p.m. CCSF, the North's No. 1 seed, will take on South No. 4 seed San Diego City College. The state tournament is hosted by College of the Sequoias in Visalia.

San Diego City takes a 25-5 overall record into the state championships. SDCC, champions of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, has won 16 straight, including a 67-59 victory at Ventura College on Saturday in its regional final.

The Rams are looking to capture back-to-back state titles and have won six in the program's history (1962, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2022, 2025), including a record five state championships by head coach Justin Labagh.

A pair of Coast Conference foes will be joining the Rams in Visalia. West Valley College (North No. 3) takes on Citrus College (South No. 2) and San Jose City College (North No. 4) faces Fullerton College South No. 1).

In the other quarterfinal, Cerritos College (South No. 3) will battle Santa Rosa Junior College (North No. 2).

The state championship semifinals are set for Saturday with the championship final scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
