Rams retain No. 1 state ranking, open Coast North play with rout at De Anza

CUPERTINO – No. 1 state-ranked City College of San Francisco opened the new year as well as its Coast Conference North Division schedule with a 102-79 rout at De Anza College on Wednesday night.

The Rams improved to 14-1 overall and 1-0 in the Coast North.

James Moore led CCSF with 18 points, Ahmaree Muhammed added 14 points, and Kenyon DeMuynck contributed 13 points towards the big win.

Earlier in the week, the defending state champion Rams were ranked as the top team in the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) Top 30 State Poll. CCSF has held the No. 1 spot all season.

The Rams will be back in action on Friday (Jan. 9) when they will play the eighth of nine straight games on the road. CCSF is at Cañada College for a 5 p.m. Coast Conference North Division matchup.
