The City College of San Francisco women’s basketball team took down Feather River with a last second three-point shot for a 59-57 win on Sunday.
The Rams came out sluggish Sunday against Feather River College and ended the first quarter down 17-4. They went into half time with a 39-22 deficit. The Rams came out of the half with tremendous energy and defensive pressure, erasing a 20-point Feather River lead for the win.
The Rams forced Feather River into 33 turnovers.
The Rams were once again led by Caprice Taylor who hit the gaming winning three-point shot with 0.5 seconds remaining in the game. Taylor finished with 22pts, five rebounds and four steals. During the furious comeback, Emily Nepomuceno added three three-pointers and Annisah Dorsey added nine points to help the Lady Rams move to 3-0.
The Rams also defeated Siskiyous College 69-58 on Saturday at the Laney crossover.
The Rams came of out the gate with enormous energy and took a 36-29 lead into the half, but CCSF came out with a sluggish third quarter that saw Siskiyous take the lead during after the end of the quarter. The Rams once again finished the game on a 23-7 run to close out the College of the Siskiyous for a win
The Ram's were led by Caprice Taylor who tallied 23 points, five rebounds and eight steals. Freshman Ma'ata Makoni added 13 points and Zakiya Willis finished with nine points and seven rebounds
